How do I send my test scores?

Ask ETS to send GRE and TOEFL scores to institution code 1105. Do not use a department code. IELTS scores are mailed to the School of Graduate Studies from the testing center.

What is the minimum IELTS score?

The minimum IELTS score is 7.0.

What is the minimum TOEFL score?

The minimum TOEFL score is 90, if internet-based (iBT) and 577 if paper-based.

What is the minimum GRE score? 

There are no minimum required GRE scores.

How long are GRE and TOEFL scores valid?

GRE scores are valid for five years. TOEFL scores are valid for two years.

What is the minimum GPA?

Applicants must have a B average or rank in the upper third of their graduating class at an institution whose status and programs are readily assessed.

To what address do I send my documents?

Send all supplemental materials to the department to which you applied. The address can be found on the last page of your application or the department’s website.

What is an “Affidavit of Support”?

An “Affidavit of Support” is a bank statement or letter from the person responsible for your support that shows sufficient funds to cover tuition and living expenses for one academic year.

How are recommenders notified?

Recommenders are notified by email after submission of the application.

Recommenders receive a password by following the directions that are emailed to them after submission of your application.

Who makes the admission decision?

The department to which the student has applied will recommend admission. The Dean of the School of Graduate Studies makes the final approval.
